It’s Christmas Eve and we’ve enjoyed a fun new adventure, as well as two family traditions today.

We kicked things off with something new late this afternoon when we met friends in Lexington for a caroling extravaganza. It was quintessential New England: a wonderful sense of community shared by all; picture perfect town park with a gazebo; a live local band; free cocoa and seasonal cookies served by high school students; and generations of families coming together in song (many sporting Santa hats, others wearing beautiful holiday dresses, and everyone bundled up in cold weather gear). We wore scarves handknit by Leah’s mom…and the only thing missing was snow!

Afterwards, we went on our traditional Christmas Eve decor drive so we could enjoy the lights and outdoor holiday cheer displays around town. Fast forward through dinner and Master W’s bedtime, and then it was time for our Christmas Eve tradition of gingerbread making (homemade gingerbread, holiday music, and lots of laughter).

Wishing you and yours a peaceful Christmas Day. Cheers!
